Dr. Michael Thornton uses traditional yet modern techniques in mini face lift ("weekend face lift" or short-scar face lift) and full SMAS-plication face lift surgery by concealing your incisions that are well hidden within the natural creases around your ears lobes and hairline. Most patients benefit from complete facial rejuvenation, whereby multiple facial plastic surgery procedures are simultaneously performed during a face lift including eyelid lift, fat transfer, and skin resurfacing.

Laser-assisted facial liposuction and laser neck lift are advanced facial cosmetic procedures using our Lipotherme laser-assisted liposuction technology. This advanced technique using the Lipotherme laser is a minimally invasive procedure that can be performed alone or in conjunction with a short-scar face lift or traditional face lift to assist in promoting skin tightening and reducing the chance for postoperative bleeding.

At Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center, Dr. Michael Thornton carefully listens to your personal goals and desires and personally evaluates your medical history, previous surgeries, skin type, wrinkles, skin elasticity, soft tissue volume, and bone structure.  

The discomfort following a face lift is usually minimal.  Medications are prescribed to help you rest comfortably for several days following surgery.  Bandages are removed in the office the next day after surgery to reveal normal swelling and bruising, which may be more pronounced in some clients more than others.  The puffiness and discoloration peaks about 72 hours after surgery and gradually resolves within weeks.  After a few days, however, you may begin applying makeup to conceal any discoloration.  Stitches are removed five to seven days following surgery and you may resume most of your normal daily activities within two weeks.  Most clients enjoy a more youthful, rested, natural, and beautiful appearance and increase in self-confidence.
