During your consultation with Dr. Michael Thornton, he will review your medical history, lifestyle, and aesthetic objectives to tailor a plan that aligns with your expectations and safety profile.

Dr. Michael Thornton believes that the best surgical results begin with a trusted relationship between patient and surgeon. From your very first visit, he will personally review your medical history, perform a private physical examination, and discuss procedures tailored to your needs, goals, and safety.

Your consultation is scheduled for approximately 30 to 60 minutes, giving Dr. Thornton the opportunity to listen to your concerns, answer your questions, and provide a clear, honest assessment.

For your safety and peace of mind, Dr. Thornton personally conducts every professional consultation, preoperative evaluation, and postoperative appointment. He does not delegate these important responsibilities to physician assistants, nurse practitioners, patient coordinators, or nursing staff. This hands-on approach ensures you receive the highest level of physician-led care at every step of your journey, from your first meeting through a safe and healthy recovery.

Safety is our top priority. All surgeries are performed by Dr. Michael Thornton, a fellowship-trained, double board-certified cosmetic surgeon, and Diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Cosmetic surgery procedures requiring general anesthesia are performed at Baylor Scott & White Surgicare at Mansfield, a JCAHO (Joint Commission) accredited and AAAHC certified out-patient surgical center, located a few miles from our office.  All surgeries are monitored by board-certified anesthesiologists and trained anesthesia providers.

Recovery varies significantly depending on the complexity of the procedure. Minor injectable or laser treatments may have minimal or no downtime, whereas major surgeries like a tummy tuck or Mommy Makeover may involve several weeks of recovery and restrictions. You’ll typically see initial improvements within a few weeks, and full results often emerge by 4-6 months as swelling subsides and tissues settle. We’ll provide detailed recovery protocols during your consultation.

Because every patient’s goals and anatomy differ, we don’t list flat fees online. The total cost includes Dr. Thornton's fees, surgery center fees, and anesthesia fees. During your consult we’ll provide a custom quote that will break down the costs. We also offer financing options (such as CareCredit) to help fit your investment into a comfortable plan

All Botox / Xeomin injections and dermal filler injections are personally performed by Dr. Michael Thornton to provide you with the highest level of skill, experience, and patient safety protocols.
