BOTOX® for Men

BOTOX® injections are available for men at Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center.  The most common areas treated on men are the forehead lines, frown lines, and crows feet.  As compared to female clients, men require more units per session because men have more muscle mass in the facial areas treated.  Dr. Michael L. Thornton performs all injections to provide the highest surgeon-level services to his male clients.

Dermal Fillers & Injectables for Men

Mansfield Cosmetic Surgery Center provides men many options in dermal filler injections including, Juvederm®, Voluma®, Radiesse®, and Belotero®.  Dr. Thornton uses dermal fillers to predominately improve the smile lines or nasolabial folds in men but other areas of the male face may also be treated.

Fractional Co2 laser skin resurfacing for Men

Dr. Thornton performs Fractional Co2 and Erbium laser skin resurfacing for men to improve wrinkles, skin discoloration, acne scarring, and sun damage.  Men tend to have more visible sun damage and sun discoloration as compared to women, therefore special laser resurfacing treatment protocols are necessary.  Downtime following laser skin resurfacing is variable but usually lasts 7 – 10 days.

Dermapen acne scar reduction for Men

The Dermapen 3 is an advanced Dermapen micro-needling device to treat acne scars.  Several treatments are necessary in order to begin to see visible improvement of male acne scarring.  In addition, depending upon your skin color and complexity of acne scarring, an individualized treatment protocol will be established by Dr. Thornton that may include PRP (platelet rich plasma), Co2 or Erbium laser resurfacing, or direct excision of scars.

NonSurgical PRP Hair Restoration for Men

Platelet-Rich Plasma can be successfully used in the treatment of female and male hair loss (androgenic alopecia) through special techniques in non-surgical PRP Hair Restoration / PRP Hair Regeneration.  Using nonsurgical techniques that are performed in our office, Dr. Michael Thornton uses high concentrated PRP as a useful option to potentially reverse the effects of hair loss in both men and women by stimulating inactive hair follicles back into the active growth phase.

Skin care for Men

Dr. Thornton provides skin treatment protocols for men that include individualized pharmacy compounded face creams containing  antioxidants, Vitamin C, Retin-A, Kojic acid, Hydroquinone to even out skin tone, improve skin discoloration, and reduce visible signs of sun damage.  Other treatment protocols regarding skin care for men include, IPL (intense-pulse-light) treatments, hydrofacials, acid peels that are performed by our licensed aestheticians.
